Eight rows take any week in one named month and no other month. The operating company sets that month for a physical reason, usually water level, a harvest, the heat, or a colour turn that lasts a fortnight. The choice inside the row is which of the four or five weeks, and the season is not part of it.
Six rows run most of the year. Here the order reverses: get the dates approved at work first, then ask, and the office works back from your dates to the nearest start. These are the rows for people whose leave depends on a project landing, on somebody else's school term, or on a shift pattern posted six weeks out. The same place, twice, in one year
Two rows can name the same country at two points in the year with two figures, and they are not one trip with a price change. The short window version is usually built around one thing that happens then and cannot be moved. The long season version has more nights, a slower route and different ground arrangements. Outside them sit your air travel, which is yours to arrange from your own airport and is never inside any figure here; meals other than the ones the departure page names; entrance charges it does not name; a single room, which the operating company prices separately and states in writing; and anything you add once the reservation is placed. Where a route crosses water, that passage belongs to the operating company under its own license and is written into the figure you get, with its own conditions attached.
Three rows on the board stay inside the United States, and one of those starts close enough to Kansas City to reach by car. They are put together the same way as the rest, with the ground half arranged by a company that runs that route and nothing else.
